Gnarly Inspiration

This is my first entry to the May's Admiration Inspiration challenge held by heavenriver which you can find here  Ultra Fractal monthly Challenges Redux ~ Vol. 52.

I have been honored to have ponged with my friend, jim373 and during that pong, and also following him in a UF chain pong, I have seen and used many of his textures and gradients.  He even helped me to get to make my jewels more realistic.  So my inspiration for this piece is Jim~

May's Style challenge will be the Admiration Inspiration challenge!
In this challenge, you will have to pick any one fractal artist other than yourself, who has a definite style, and try to emulate it. Be sure to add a few words in your description as to why you picked that artist, and what it is about that style that you love. This is mostly a get-positive challenge, so sharing good thoughts is important Both inspiration and execution will be "graded" when deciding the winner.
